FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the customer at a mutually convenient time to discuss the project. I listen closely and may make suggestions and am always ready to answer questions. I usually ask that I be given time to work up an accurate quote. "Ball Park" figures are not fair to the customer or the contractor. Generally, I write the estimate and present it to the customer so everything is in writing. Sometimes details are lost in a verbal exchange.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I honed my trade by working with some great contractors years ago and I am always looking for ways to improve the final product. I stay informed on better ways of assembly and fastening products.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to build treehouses and elaborate dams when I was a kid. I've always like working with tools so some of my first jobs were in construction. As a young man in my 20s I was drawn back to construction type work.
