Summary: They arrived an hour late and then asked to only do half the job! I truly can't express just how frustrating my interaction with DR Cleaning has been today. Earlier this week, I received a call from David (owner) about my move-in cleaning. We spoke about the detailed, move-in cleaning. When asked what products he uses, I was surprised to hear him say "bleach, Kilz and Amoninia." Wow, really?! I asked if he could not use those products in our home if hired, since we have newly installed hardwood floors and children with asthma. He said that this wouldn't be a problem. Upon hiring DR Cleaning, I wrote a detailed email explaining what we'd needed done (also confirming the service and price in writing). I then received a call from David (owner), who expressed concerns over the new floors. I listened to his reservations and we came up with a plan. During the call it was decided that they wouldn't sweep or clean the new hardwood floors on the main level. He agreed to clean the home (except for the floors) and our appointment was set. This morning, David and his team arrived over an hour late for our 10:00 a.m. appointment. I walked them into the kitchen. David and his wife spoke for 10 minutes about the job and decided that due to the hardwood floors they were uncomfortable cleaning our main floor. David asked if they could just clean the carpeted upstairs level (half the job)! My husband and I were shocked since the nature of the job had been explained and already reduced to met their concerns. No baseboard, no fist floor bathroom, no cabinets would be cleaned. They only offered to vacuum the new carpet upstairs and clean two bathrooms. We declined, since we were counting on them for a full move-in cleaning...not bits and pieces. We must move in within two days! DR Cleaning left us scrambling! They absolutely DO have every right to change their minds and refuse a job. I only wish that this decision had been expressed in a timely way. We can't comment on their actual work, since nothing was done. We simply recommend that you DON'T depend on them to arrive on time or provide the service that they've agreed to provide. Frustrating experience!
