I had the honor of meeting Ms. Banks last year and have found her to be an amazing teacher, leader, and speaker. Her interactions with young people are inspiring! Her love and passion for her students are evident in the way she delivers curricula and offers 1:1 advice to meet students where they are. Every lecture I've observed has left me interested in participating or learning more about the topic or Banks' ideas on the content. Caprice is creative, personable and energetic - the kind of speaker that can captivate any audience. She has a way of drawing you in and making you feel like her message is a personal conversation rather than a lecture or class presentation. I have been an educator/youth organizer/Ed Specialist for over 20 years and can honestly say that I have met very few people with level of expertise and oratory skills that Caprice Banks has. Caprice presented a motivational speech to a high school on the south side of Chicago. She did a great job of getting a pulse on the audience, genuinely engaging them and presenting a truly inspiring speech. The kids were excited to get the opportunity to meet with her afterwards and discuss the performance.

It all began with an Easter speech I was to recite. I was five. It went horribly wrong. I made lemonade out of lemons.
