- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Full service design is charged at an hourly rate ($100). I'm happy to travel to you, but please note that travel outside a 10 mile radius of Marietta is 50% of the hourly rate. If you're looking for more comprehensive design assistance, there are a variety of fixed fee packages available to meet your needs. From design only consultation packages and accessories and styling, to our turnkey full-service; there's a service level to meet your needs. And if you just want someone to hold your hand as you go it alone, we offer a "Decor Session" service. Please check my website for details: decorbydemi.com
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to start with a mini questionnaire that can be found on the "Contact Me" page of my website. This allows me to get a brief overview of the project. From there, I like to set up a 20 minute phone chat with the client to determine if we are a good fit for one another; and get more details about the project. If we mutually agree to move forward, a date for the consultation is determined. The client is then required to pay for the consultation to reserve the spot on my calendar. Once paid, the client's date and time is confirmed for the consultation. I then come out to the home for the consultation to review the applicable room(s) and provide design recommendations, tips, and ideas. The path forward from this point varies upon what service the client would like (i.e, design only consultation, full service design, decor session). Everything is spelled out on my website.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Interior design is a second career for me. I have always loved the process of design and decided to pursue it as a second career option.
