FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most small and medium-size businesses I charge, a flat rate which includes my time, gear, and photo license is how I charge. For larger corporate business I charge a day rate (and rate for any assistant or other crew, gear rental rate, image license fee to be negotiated, and other fees associated with the shoot.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a phone call to understand the project and its scope. I then will send an estimate. If the estimate is accepted then we start pre-shoot planning which can vary depending on the complexity of the shoot. For more complex shoots I like to do a location scout preferably at least a day before the shoot. On shoot day a call time will be agreed where everyone required from both the photographer and client side will be at the location. After the shoot I will edit the photographs for color and other minor corrections and send for the client to pick their favorites which will then be further refined.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Decades of experience.
