About this pro
Our patio was small, uninviting, and just plain ugly before 1016 Masonry came and transformed it into the gorgeous, open, living space it is now. Sean was easy to communicate with and is an honest expert of his trade. Throughout the process, we discussed the design details with Sean and he helped guide us through everything from material selection to future expansion ideas. He provided lots of insight into how to make our patio look great while staying within our budget. After starting, he was flexible and willing to accommodate our changing vision for the project while only slightly adjusting his prices, basically just to cover an increase in material fees. Despite theses increases, Sean and 1016Masonry were still one of the most cost friendly professionals we encountered. Sean takes pride in his work and wants the owners to be proud as well. After his team finishes, Sean will meet with you and make sure you are 100% satisfied. If not, he will make sure to change whatever necessary to ensure your satisfaction. We absolutely love the finished product and will be using Sean and 1016 Masonry for our future project needs.Jun 24, 2018Verified
Sean was great to work with. He really knows his stuff when it comes to Masonry work. He showed up on time each day and did a great job. He kept his work area clean and was very polite and professional. We are still in awe at our amazing new fireplace. We would recommend Sean because he was fair, reasonable, on time, courteous and knowledgeable. You can tell he knows what he is doing and we appreciate what he did for us in such a quick time frame. If you need work done, call Sean first!Feb 26, 2018Verified
Excellent work. They took the time to make sure every stone looked good, did not repeat in shape, color etc, and fit with the whole overall look. They took lots of time to do the trimming/cutting to get everything right, asked questions about what we wanted and made suggestions as to what they could do, then let us pick what we wanted at each stage. Very nice job! Note: the picture was taken prior to adding a 150 year old barnwood mantle.Feb 24, 2017Verified
Sean came and took measurement of my lawn. He was very professional. He explained the differences on several artificial turfs. And sent an email with the price. Next day I decided to wait till next year to do it when I sell my place. I am keeping his business card.May 31, 2018Verified
Sean and his crew did an excellent job with my artificial grass/landscape project. I contacted Sean after ‘19th greens’ never showed x3 to complete work. He took on my project at a moments notice and was professional, detail oriented, and easy to work and communicate with. I highly recommend and will use 1016 masonry for future projects.May 25, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Tuckpointing varies in cost from square footage, height of where the tuck-pointing is needed, if historical or if any special equipment will be needed to complete the project. When it comes to flatwork you always get what you pay for. We have warranties on the installation for 10 years. We have a process we use using 5” of base on patios, 10” on driveways, then a 1” bed of sand with pavers laid on top. The artificial turf is basically same process, but does not get sand bed above road base. Depending on if it’s a dog run, putting green, or sports fields can determine what materials and procedures will be needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Speak with them to receive as much information about the project as possible. Go to location, meet with the customer at their convenience, listen to what they expect out of the project, give any suggestions I may have, and send them a honest and reasonable estimate quickly. If hired we are always punctual, professional, and do the highest quality work one could ask for. As well as clean the job site so it is picture perfect when we leave.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been in this profession around 12 years. Before doing masonry I was a project manager for a construction company. A few of my crew members have worked for the largest Colorado paver’s company around. Doing spectacular work all over the state. I also have a certification from Cathedral Stone for stone patching, mortar matching, historic Masonry restoration, maintenance and repairs.
