FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Roofing is per square foot. Trim is at times by linear foot. Doors whether interior or exterior can be based per door as well. Some home owners at time like to pay hourly for smaller projects as well but I like to look at the total job and develope a price based on the time it will take to complete with myself and possibly a crew. This I believe is the best way to keep costs down instead of piece by piece and motivates everyone to get the job done in a timely manner.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Sitting down with a new customer to understand their vision and their budget and see if we can work together to make it a reality. I let them know and help them understand I am very experienced and if needed I can hold their hand through the whole process helping with design and color choices, or I can let them take the reigns and be in control as well. We almost always find a middle ground that works for us both and that new customer becomes a REPEAT customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out at the age of 17 working summers with a local contractor. I eventually became a state and city certified contractor which required initial testing and 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years. I've been in the Elevator, Laborers, and Carpenters Unions over the years always still keeping my credentials and insurance active and up to date. I am very well versed in residential and light commercial construction ptojects.
