Introduction: As a U.S. army veteran, I honor my words and my costs. I am upfront, personable, and effective at any task I take on. If I am not proficient at a task, I either do not bid or explain my limitations and let you decide whether or not I am the handyman for you.
I was originally trained by my father who is also a handyman before joining the army as a carpentry and masonry specialist. In this role, I also assisted plumbers and electricians poured concrete.
With my current full-time position working for a local municipality, I was trained in chain-link fence repair, tree trimming, and asphalt and concrete repair, and I am currently a project administrator whose job is to make sure that other contractors do their work properly.
I will take all of these skills, along with an attention to detail to make sure your task for me is completed to your full satisfaction.
The greatest thing about what I do is that I am able to help people do things they are not able to complete themselves.
Seeing a smiling face after I have helped someone makes me feel great.
I decided to start doing handyman work after being deployed overseas and helping build barracks and installing A/C units for the infantry troops that were sleeping in tent cities without reprieve from the heat.
That feeling, knowing that I had made their lives in that environment a little more bearable made me want to feel like that more.

Jake has done several jobs for me and were done professionally, as quoted, on time, and at a fair price.

Simply excellent! Jake did an outstanding job installing a replacement driveway at our home and we could not be happier. His professionalism came shining through and our driveway is the best looking one on the block. Thanks, Jake!
