FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Cost of services is largely dependent on your health insurance coverage, which is verified when you call to make your first appointment. Should you choose to pay out-of-pocket, we can negotiate the cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding the right person to work with is crucial to good therapy, and I want you to feel comfortable with me and my style. I'd like to speak with you about what kind of services you are looking for and how I can best help. Send me an email or give me a call, then you get to make the decision about whether this partnership will work for you. If you feel we will work well together, we can set up an intake appointment. At this meeting, we will learn a little more about each other, discuss your goals for therapy and how I can best help you accomplish theses goals, and you make the final choice about whether this will be a good partnership. Appointments take place at my office in Golden Valley, MN.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have nearly 10 years in the mental health field working in various capacities. I began my journey working with adolescent girls in residential treatment, then decided I wanted to attend graduate school and become a licensed therapist. I earned my master's degree from Antioch University Seattle and completed my internship at an integrated health clinic working primarily with adults and couples. After graduation, I worked for the Minnesota Department of Corrections with adolescent boys and girls in their wilderness program, and moved into a position in day treatment with young adolescents. Finally, I moved into in-home/in-school therapy and now work in an outpatient office setting.
