I am beyond furious right now.
I told this guy when I hired him that I'd prefer to be billed weekly for services because I get paid weekly and it's easier for me to make payments in full each week than to come up with a lump sum a month at a time.
He decides to wait TWO MONTHS before sending me my first bill, which happened to coincide with an unpredictable and unavoidable financial hardship.
I didn't have the total amount to pay up front, which I communicated to him and am very sorry for. Then my daughter ended up in the hospital.
I took on a second job to catch up on multiple bills, not just his. I paid what I could diligently with three payments over the next two weeks to get the bill down. Going into week three, and just after making my most recent payment, I get multiple text messages WHILE I'M AT WORK telling me he didn't care about my excuses and he wanted his money... WHICH HE WAS GETTING. It isn't as if I completely skipped out on my obligations!
He THEN proceeds to tell me I owe him ANOTHER $150 on top of what I was billed for, for work I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT because I hadn't received a bill for it! Bringing the total owed to $250 all at once!
I stopped responding to his messages for his complete lack of professionalism! Being belligerent to your customers doesn't magically make the money appear any faster, and I was working my ass off to pay multiple people as quickly as I could! I HATE owing people money!
I completely acknowledge that I am behind. I get that. We all need to get by. HOWEVER, there is NO excuse for being nasty to people who are TRYING TO WORK THROUGH IT!
And as of today, the harassment hasn't stopped! I have literally gotten 10 phone calls just today between 9:30 this morning and right now.
I've done and said to this man all I can at this point. I will continue to pay down my bill until it is paid in full, but I am done working with him.

Stephanie, I appreciate your review. I would like to clarify a few things for you though and anyone who reads this review. We agreed on monthly billing at your request. We agreed on $35 per service and I include free some weeding and pruning of the shrubs. To date, there have been 6 services bring the total amount for services $210 You have made 4 payments of $20 each bringing you remaining balance to $130. You had gave me several reasons why you couldn't pay the full bill and then advised you would pay the remainder of your June and July invoice this morning by and you sent $20 so you didn't even do what you said you were going to do. Please feel free to call me so we can discuss this. Thank you for your time and your review. Certainly if all of my reviews were 5 star, other customers would be suspicious.
