- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
FOR WEDDINGS: After receiving an email or text from a new client, I always follow up with a phone call to gain more information about the wedding. If I am available on the date they looking at, I will give them a quote and explain exactly what they are getting for that price. After that, I arrange a time to meet in person to go over and sign an agreement and collect the deposit. I also bring with me a wedding DJ worksheet for the client to compete leading up to their wedding date which outlines all the necessary information I will need to ensure a successful reception and ceremony. Additionally, I will draft a wedding timeline with the client to allow them to really visualize how their wedding day will flow all together with me as their DJ and MC. The next we will get together (unless requested otherwise) is for the wedding rehearsal which I always attend to ensure proper preparation of equipment and power. Also, I enjoy meeting the immediate family before the wedding day to make sure everyone feels comfortable and to answer any questions. The remaining balance is due the day of the wedding during set up. FOR OTHER MOBILE DJ EVENTS: After receiving an email or text from a new client, I always follow up with a phone call to gain more information about the event. If I am available on the date they looking at, I will give them a quote and explain exactly what they are getting for that price. I am happy to meet in person prior to the event to go over everything, however; most backyard parties, corporate events, and special private events can be booked via email and on the phone with me. I will send out a digital version of the agreement to sign from your mobile device and can accept deposits via Venmo if necessary. I always email out a music request form should the client have special music needs. The remaining balance is due the day of the event during set up.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have provided DJ services for a variety of people. This includes DJ’ing traditional weddings (religious) and non-traditional weddings with unpredictable themes. I’ve worked with people who have very specific taste in music who are detail oriented and with those who allow me to have free range in music selections with a more relaxed approach for their event. I’ve worked with business owners and school districts as well as corporate/store managers and bar owners/managers.
