Kirk Tanis has what it takes to get the job done and get it done properly and competently. If I have ANY home improvement needs, Kirk is my to go do person. He doesn't disappoint. He's the real deal. I trust him implicitly. And I am 100% pleased with his work.

Kirk did an excellent job with the carpentry work around the upper and lower decks of my home. He focused on the safety of my small children as much as I did by recommending other areas that had rotted through and become unstable. His prices were fair and he explained his recommendations in details with samples and photos when I was away. He got my ok before doing anything beyond the original scope and offered alternatives to achieve the same outcomes. Very respectful, honest and fair. Others who were working with him had the same characteristics. I would highly recommend Kirk!

I trust Kirk because he is about as straightforward and honest as any one I've encountered in the construction/remodeling/home maintenance business. I know that I won't have to worry about being taken advantage of because of my lack of knowledge and my limited availability to be around while the work is being done. He has done a lot of building/remodeling in my neighborhood and I've never heard anyone say anything negative about him or his work.

Kirk Tanis/Tanis Construction just completed a beautiful front porch renovation with ipe wood that included replacing the entire steps, decking and stringers that support it. He is someone I trust to do it right without cutting corners. I work a lot and he got the job done without me having to be here. I plan to have him do other jobs I have had on hold for years. Each job is priced individually based on time and complexity. I will not skimp on the material grade used as I am a firm believer in doing something one time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Basic meeting to see what is desired I will present options and mention any pitfalls that may exist
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in Business Administration. In 1995 I went to work for a national home builder in warranty and then switched to production. Those 4 years gave me a strong foundation to start my own construction company.
