- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give a "Total Price" for the job. I do not charge an hourly fee. This is. beneficial to the client b/c I dont "milk" the clock. I also give an itemized estimate & finalized invoice , including all materials & I do NOT mark up materials. If a customer gets multiple projects completed...I will often give a discount on the additional projects. I stand by my policy of 100% complete customer satisfaction.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial appointment , discuss with client in detail job scope ( what clients expectations of project is). Job scope includes the following: Actual project to include design, material & labor., budget, timeframe. Initial measurements are taken and potential areas are discussed that would alter the project in regard to budget & timeframe. I would provide ( email) an itemized estimate to include materials ( breakdown), labor, timeframe ( start date & projected completion date) & payment options. I would also email a copy of my business license & insurance policy. Upon a signed acceptance of the estimate, I would schedule a date with the client to begin the project.
