- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new family, we first discuss student needs, rates, availability, and location options for tutoring. Before your first tutoring session I will send information about how our sessions will work, policies, and a parent questionnaire to get to know about your child as a learner. I will take both parent and current classroom teacher input to develop a customized one-on-one tutoring plan to help your child reach their fullest potential!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have spent the last ten years teaching at a public elementary school in the area. I have taught first, second, and third grade and student taught in a kindergarten classroom. I have my Masters in Reading Instruction making me a certified Reading Specialist. For the past five summers I have provided individual and group tutoring for K-5 students. I have experience working with a diverse group of learners and enjoy helping children succeed.
