Introduction: Private yoga therapy sessions are highly individualized to assist my clients with their specific goals. That can be anything from stress management, loosing weight, problems with sleep cycles, or alternative therapy for ongoing health issues, be that mental like depression or PTSD or physical like COPD, diabetes and pain management. This type of yoga is focused on function over form and can be done by absolutely any fitness level out there. I combine slow movements with breath work and focus techniques to work with the mind.This blending of three basic elements enables me to meet each client where they are and give them a tool that will enhance any therapies or treatments they are currently on to assist them in being successful to accomplish those goals. Even if they do all of the work from a chair! Working one on one with clients to create a therapeutic plan that changes as each person progresses is highly rewarding for myself and for my clients. Being able to tailor a yoga practice that each person can do at home on their own empowers my clients to be active in their own healing process. Having the ability to adjust these practices to the need of each individual as they progress through their healing allows both myself and the client to see progress in their goals as they are obtained. This allows me to be an ally for each person over the life of our relationship, which is a safe place to heal in.
