Jim is knowledgeable and competent on most any item involving home maintenance, repair and construction. He does a thorough job and doesn't like to skip steps. He helped complete a kitchen demo, build a wall, put up cabinets, put in wood flooring, tiled around bathtub, painted exterior and repaired soffit areas that were hanging or soft. He then came back a few weeks later to fix a problem with a door that was incorrectly hung by a hired handyman. Though the price was a bit steep for this particular project, he spent the time and did the work necessary to get it right. And the overall pricing for the entire work was reasonable and fair. I plan on hiring him again with my next project.May 10, 2017Verified
Jim came to my house and gave me a quote within 2 hours of me contacting him. He started the same day. He's a hard worker and takes the quality of his work very seriously. As a perfectionist myself I really appreciate Jim taking his time to do it right. We love our crown molding and can't wait to hire him for many other projects around our home.Dec 18, 2015Verified

I needed a room painted and a floor replaced. Jim came on Thursday night, gave me an estimate and got the job. He told me he couldn't start until Monday morning because of a tile job in Palm Harbor. No problem. On Monday I got a text that he'd be here 9:30 or ten to start. Great! He and his 'helper' (a nice lady) came. Jim moved the queen sized mattress and box springs into the other bedroom, and left. He said that previous tile job had mold problems and he'd be back either later Monday to remove the ripped up floor, or on Wednesday. I didn't actually realize that he'd made the other bed inaccessible by putting the mattress up against the bed and the box spring also in the small room until I thought about going to sleep on Monday night. Couch time. Tuesday night- couch time again. Wednesday I texted him: It's Wednesday, are you coming today? NEVER HEARD BACK. And I'm on the couch again tonight. I hope he isn't thinking about coming back at all.Dec 24, 2015VerifiedCoastal Dream Homes LLC's reply
