FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start out by having an open conversation with each client about their wishes in terms of deliverables, style, composition, and location. Many times people will have existing photographs that represent the look they're going for -- these are always great to see! Once we establish the direction for the shoot, we'll proceed in the following way: -Portrait sessions usually last a half hour, though this can vary if there are wardrobe changes -I will download, color correct, and select out the best shots for the client to view. -The client will select one photograph that I will professionally touch up. This includes things like correcting blemishes, bags under eyes, skin smoothing, distracting background images, etc. (Additional shots from the shoot can be touched up for an additional fee.) -I will deliver the final high resolution shot to the client!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began photographing when I was 14 years old, carrying around a then-state-of-the-art digital camera that weighed two pounds. I've always felt most comfortable watching the world through the viewfinder and finally was in a position to turn it into a full time business!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with performers (actors, singers, dancers), politicians, families, toddlers, and various live events.
