I hired Maureen to do my makeup for a special fund raising event i was running. I found Maureen to be extremely professional. She arrived on time and made me feel very comfortable. She worked with me in the exact look I wanted. Being that I'd be talking to people all night I would not have time to keep touching up makeup. The makeup she applied was not only exactly what I wanted but it stayed on so beautifully. She even provided me w some tips while she applied the makeup. She was so easy going and fun. She not only made me feel pretty but spending the time w her made me so much more relaxed and confident going in to my event. Maureen is clearly an expert in her field. Her application and knowledge of fashion and style really shines through. I can't thank Maureen enough and will definitely recommend and use her again in the future !! A fantastic experience all around !!!

I booked Maureen to do my hair & makeup for an event I attended. She came highly reccomend by a friend who had also used her. She was on time & worked at a good pace. She was very professional I her manner but at the same time sweet & endearing. It was a nice change from the other makeup & hair artist/stylist I have used in the past. She made me feel comfortable during the session & That was a big plus for me. She did a full face of makeup on me; foundation, concealer, eyes, lips....the whole nine yards! Yet I didn't feel or look like I had a "mask on". She did a fantastic job making me look glamorous but still look like me. She brought out my best features & hid my less than perfect ones (like the bump on my nose & an awful pimple!). For my hair asked for a half up & half down style which she did very well and without the usual fuss & muss I get from other stylists about my hair being hard to do that way because I have long hair and a lot of it! I was really impressed with her & her work. I will definitely book her again & would feel confident recommending her to others. It really was a pleasurable experience that made me feel and look fabulous.

Communication, by listening to a new client's needs and their vision. I always feel that being on the same page as the client as they are with me. Collectively, we are both confident and happy to create the perfect results. :)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always dreamed about being a Make Up Artist since as far as early childhood. My mother, Vera , was so beautiful with so much flair. I was always fascinated and mesmerized by how she transformed into "movie star" glamorous when she put on her make up and she always dressed impeccably. So lovely!!!! With those moments, I knew the incredible power of the make up brush, bringing out your best attributes, and keeping things stylish--- I was hooked! :)
