Since our launch in Feb 2015, we have served 75,000 employees across 500 companies. To date, over 80% of our customers have ordered more than 3x from us. We serve various industries including law firms, financial services, creative agencies, tech startups, and fashion companies and can accommodate order sizes from 10 - 600. I organize regular catering for my company, a tech startup that works with restaurants. Because of our work in food tech, our employees love food and are food experts. Our team is always looking for the best in taste, quality, and presentation. I was so excited when our VP handed me Jessie's card. I could tell right away by the website and mission that this would be a great fit for us! I love the company's focus on healthy food and sustainability, obvious commitment to quality, customer service, look and design, and I love the idea of convenient balanced food bowls. It was really easy for our staff to create many different bowls that work with all sorts of diets and taste preferences. They can easily enjoy at their desk or in our common spaces without any mess. And even better, our employees return to work feeling energized and good, instead of crashing as they would after eating something of lower quality.

My Ox experience comes mainly from meetings I'm not a part of and the leftovers they leave behind. Doesn't matter what's left, I manage to always have a tasty grain bowl--all the flavors work so well together and I'm never disappointed. It rarely happens (because they're too good not to steal 3 or 4 for yourself) but top it off with their sea salt chocolate chips? You're hooked. Wish they had a restaurant or at least a pop-up shop every once in a while so I can enjoy a fresh lunch hour bowl and possibly (probably) pocket a few dozen cookies in the process.

The service and quality of Ox Verte is unparalleled in the NYC catering space. Their produce is incredibly fresh, their sauce creations are better than you can find anywhere in NYC, and best of all, they work with local farmers. Somehow... they trick you into wanting to eat healthy. I could honestly eat an Ox Verte salad everyday. Only complaint is they don't have a restaurant and I have to force my office manager to order them for catering when I have the craving!

    Jessie Gould, Founder and CEO Before founding Ox, Jessie spent 3 years at Organic Avenue as VP of Operations, Brand, and Marketing after a 7 year career in investment banking and private equity. She received an MBA from Wharton and a BA in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Yale University. Chris Owen, Head Chef Chris Owen is the Head Chef for Ox Verte. Chris has over 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including 5 years in New York. Most recently Chris helped open acclaimed restaurants Pearl and Ash, Governor and The Finch.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    Inspired to create food that is worth feeling good about, Jessie Gould drew from her experience at cold-pressed juice company Organic Avenue, to create OX VERTE — a forward-thinking food company that caters to the health-conscious and hungry alike.
