Introduction: I am a Psychiatric NP who is certified as a 500-RYT yoga therapist and certified in plant-based nutrition. Plant-based nutrition simply means tailoring the diet to add in more plants, which helps decrease inflammatory load. I also have a portable gold-standard Basal Metabolic Rate (or REE) instrument which measures your BMR (or the amount of calories you would burn if you laid absolutely still for the entire day). Knowing your actual BMR helps you plan your caloric intake accurately, which is so important, because estimates can be off by as much as 500-800 calories! My psychotherapy/counseling/life-coaching work with clients is grounded in a blend of CBT, DBT, and Psychodynamic techniques. I have worked with both individual and company clients since 2010. I enjoy working with clients to collaboratively build a strategy for wellness. Since I draw from movement, nutrition, and psychiatric principles, sessions are dynamic, vibrant, and uniquely cater to the needs of each and every individual client.
