- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We build our proposals using our standard hourly rate and applying the number of hours required to complete a project based on the scope of work and deliverables. A 50% retainer fee is required up front as it is a deposit to secure your spot in our project calendar. The balance is due immediately upon completion of the project and delivery of final files.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will start with a phone call or in-person meeting to gain a better understanding of your specific needs. We will ask you questions about your business as well as what you would like to accomplish with the design. Based on the feedback and information you give us we will craft a statement of work which will outline the scope of work, deliverables, and pricing of our services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Creative Director and Founder, Matt Moffatt, has a BFA in Graphic Design with a concentration in Illustration. Matt has spent 23 years in the design industry including key roles at agencies, in-house, and media publications. Before starting Almanac Design Matt was a Creative Director at The Boston Beer Company where he helped lead an internal team in the development of all packaging and new product development. At The Boston Beer Company, Matt launched the Rebel IPA, Imperial Series, the Small Batch 22oz. series, Hopology IPA series and led the creative efforts to launch Angry Orchard Hard Cider. He is a past recipient of the Boston Beer Company Innovation award in 2012 and has received a number of industry awards for design in the Beer Category including The International Beer Challenge. Matt has also worked on various brands including Cadillac, Hummer, TIAA-CREF, Gap, Palm, Converse, and Project (RED), Nickelodeon, and Food Should Taste Good.
