FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$150 dollars an hour. No other costs. I allow you to pay as you go, per lesson, so you won't have to pay a large sum upfront and not know what you're getting your teen into. If you want to continue lessons, we continue. If you don't want to continue, you won't be hassled to continue and won't need to lobby for a refund for unused hours or anything. Some parents want to prepay for sessions to secure their spot in my schedule and get a discount. I offer 10% discounts on 10 - session packages.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically begin with a phone call where I speak to the parent. If there is a practice test/ neuropsych/ other tests score for me to look at, I ask the parent to send that over. Then, we schedule a trial session. During that trial session, both the child and the parent are present and I demonstrate 2 concepts from math and reading that I will improve client’s scores. Based on the trial session, the client chooses if they want to hire me. If they do, we schedule our next session and a set of practice tests before the real test.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken graduate courses in education at NYU and Teacher's College Columbia.
