FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With baseball/softball lessons I like to start off with the basics. If we're hitting, I like to evaluate their swing off the tee. I spent 95% of my batting practice growing up, off a tee. From there, we can make the necessary adjustments and I can educate my students on form. Then slowly introduce them to side toss/front toss/live pitching.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played softball since I was 5 years old and come from a strong baseball/softball family. My father played baseball at Columbia and I have 4 other siblings that played baseball/softball in college as well. I played GOLD level softball from the age of 14 onward and started getting recruited in the 8th grade. I was offered by first full-ride scholarship the summer before 9th grade, but committed and played at Stanford University for four years. My younger brother currently plays in the Angels farm system in Utah.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Softball has always been close to my heart. Having played the sport for over 20 years, it will always be a major aspect of my life. I worked very hard at it growing up, to the point where my skills have become second nature. I would love to pass on my knowledge to the next generation or even to those who have a similar love for the sport as I do.
