Frank, the owner of Peninsula Carpet Cleaning, came out and explained the cleaning process and expectations. He thoroughly cleaned our carpets and added a whole house deodorizer for free, as a thank you for our business. Frank also worked with us to explain how the estimate was done and helped us realize a 15 percent customer discount! Excellent customer service.

Our quote request clearly stated that we had 8 rooms and 2 staircases. Mr. Gonzalez quoted $165 and said we'd get military and new customer discounts. He declined my offer to preview the carpet. Two days before the cleaning, he said he couldn't give me an exact cost because he'd have to see the carpet first. He also stated he charges 32 cents per square foot. This pricing model had never been mentioned before. Based on that price, our cost would have been over $600; much higher than the $165 he had originally quoted. We stated that we had the $165 and would pay any remainder the following week. He agreed to arrive at 9 am the morning of Aug. 4. At 4:30 am that morning, he texted to cancel, refusing to accept our "terms". At 5:30 am, we hired Stanley Steemer, who arrived at 9:30 am and did a beautiful job for 17 cents per square foot. Ironically, Mr. Gonzalez had stated several times that Stanley charges 50 cents per square foot. More professionalism and honest communication on Mr. Gonzalez's part would have spared us both trouble.

To respond to this abhorrent review I feel compelled to say that, 1. In all my initial correspondence I plainly state that a preinspection walk through would be the final determinant on the final estimate and if agreed upon by both parties, we would proceed upon the clients approval. 2) Twenty four hours before the job was to start, the client stated that he had 5 kids to support and that I needed to keep it really low since they had other moving out issues and they wanted to make arrangements for future payments, which I did not agree upon 3) At this time I relayed to the client that maybe he could get someone else to do this job who would also agree to do partial and future payments. In summary, I have completed in excess of 68 carpet and upholstery cleaning jobs with 68 of them being 5 Star reviews. Despite this client changing the original cleaning schedule 3 times and understating that they indeed had more than 600 square feet of carpet to clean, I tried giving them a viable option. I have been in this this area for over 20 years, I am retired Air Force and not once would I, or any of my employees try to gouge or use any "bait and switch" tactics to any of my clients. 68 Five Star reviews out of 69 this year explains our work ethic and integrity...

We offer the following packages: 1. Guaranteed Allergy, Dander and Pet Odor Removal 2. Pet Package Premium: Pet Odor and Stain Removal and Deodorization 3. Whole House Package: consisting of the following Vacuum - Prespray - Deep Steam Cleaning - Scotch Guard Protection 4. Basic Carpet - Move-In or Move-Out Package Vacuum - Prespray - Deep Steam Cleaning Note: We will offer a 50% discount on any other service needed after our preinspection review is completed. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. We review the current condition of the carpets, room by room using our Pre-Inspection checklist, 2. Annotate any areas of concerns that needs immediate attention. 3. After the review, we give the customer a game plan as to what services we can provide to meet their needs. 4. We then offer our clients a 15% discount and a free whole house deodorizer as a token of our appreciation for doing business with us!
