FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$300 per hour as an attorney representing a client, as a mediator or as a parenting coordinator. I require an advance of no less than $3,000.00 and the advance be replenished on a periodic basis as needed throughout the case.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a free 30 minute consult via telephone. In person requires payment, but can be accommodated if necessary. We address the basic issues and I explain my experience, fees and process in handling the matter. I answer preliminary questions and lay out the next few steps.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Indiana University Bloomington for my undergraduate degree in political science, which I earned with high distinction. I then attended law school at McKinney School of Law, graduating cum laude. Following law school, I completed substantial experience in litigation and turned to settlement as the primary goal of all cases. This goal required substantial training, leading to a certification as a registered domestic relations (divorce) mediator and registered civil mediator. I am also a collaboratively-trained lawyer. I have worked since I was 15 years old in a variety of positions from cash register to serving; from driving a forklift to putting in boat docks; from working in the family business to many other jobs of all levels of pay. I believe that all of this experience has created in me a work ethic like no one else. I have worked with a number of people in all types of positions, managed paralegals and secretaries and others, have built up my legal practice and assisted many others in establishing or expanding and protecting their businesses.
