We had such a great experience working with Jared, not just the day of our wedding, but before and after as well! He met with us before hand and listened to specific ideas I had for photos that I wanted to capture. He traveled to our venue early on in the planning process to become familiar with the space, and made a good impression on the venue coordinator, who shared that that is quite rare! He has an eye for detail and paid close attention to what I was looking for in photographs, which I truly appreciated. Jared is fun to work with and did a great job of capturing each moment beautifully while also being respectful of the guests and the progression of our evening. His attention to detail also showed itself in his editing, and while he clearly spent ample time going through each photo, we still received our beautiful photos quickly after the event. Jared photographed our proposal, engagement and wedding last year and we are so happy with our beautiful pictures. Before our wedding he met with us to talk about expectations and hopes for the wedding pictures. During the wedding he was with us taking pictures of everything from getting ready to us driving away after the reception. He is detailed and artistic while capturing memories in a beautiful way. He's super creative, always thinking of new ways to get the shot while being a good listener, paying attention to your priorities for the pictures. We highly recommend him!!

So, you’ve decided to get married. Congratulations! Now that that’s out of the way, I would strongly recommend you do yourselves a favor and hire Jared Beasley to be your photographer. Our initial consultation was very friendly and laid-back. It felt more like catching up with an old friend than organizing the meticulous documentation of one of the raddest days of your life. Did I mention that my then fiancée and I had given almost no consideration to any of the logistics of coordinating a wedding? We hadn’t; and it’s a lot. You’ll see. . . Anyway, Jared was a huge help with deciding which pics we wanted taken and where and with whom. Then he helped us work out a timeline for the actual wedding. Usually, you have to pay a different person to do this; and they’re usually mean. Jared is not mean. We agreed to two sessions—one “engagement” session in addition to the actual wedding. For our engagement shoot, Jared met us at our house and took pics of us walking around being adorable. I thought it would be weird and uncomfortable but it wasn’t. Jared made us feel very comfortable. We laughed; we joked around. A good time was had by all. I’m not just saying that. I’m one of those dorks who hates taking pictures, and I had a blast that day. We all did a lot of laughing and you can really see that in the pics. The dog loved him too, and she can be a tough lady to please. I’m writing this review 10 days after our wedding, but I could have written it FIVE days after our wedding because that’s when we saw our finished product. You read that right. We had our beautifully staged and edited wedding pics less than one week later. I’ve heard of people waiting months for wedding pics. This was the icing on the cake (pun very much intended). He’s cool, he’s talented, he’s flexible, and he works almost suspiciously quickly. We can’t say enough good things about Jared or recommend him more highly. Weddings are wonderful, but they’re also crazy stressful. Do yourselves a favor and eliminate a few sources of stress by hiring Jared.

Planning a wedding and getting everything lined up can be so overwhelming and stressful. Some days it felt like the scale was tipping and I just couldn't deal with one more vendor, flower or decision. However the photographer was the easiest and best decision we made. Jared met with us weeks before our wedding, walked us through a shoot schedule and understood what our vision was for the wedding and what we wanted to have memories of. He's patient and actually listens, which in the world of wedding planning is not always a talent professionals have. The day of, I can't tell you have comforting it was to have Jared stay calm, give me direction and take great photos without overwhelming me. Our photos are my favorite moments of our wedding day. It was the best day of my life and I have all the pictures I could dream of to remember that special day.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free in-person consultation at my office or a nearby coffee shop. Phone or video conference works for clients who are not local. This initial meeting helps us get to know each other and allows you to receive some great insight on how to optimize your wedding day for photography.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Communication, M.A. in Digital Marketing, and an MBA. I attend workshops and conferences to keep my mind fresh and speak at local meetups and conferences to share what I learn. I'm also an avid reader, devouring online resources that provide a lot of great ideas.
