FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The rate quote is usually fixed; however, it is a starting point for discussion. Sometimes, I must negotiate rates on a case by case basis. A basic one page entry level resume usually starts at $25; a two-page professional resume may start at $50.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually start with an initial consultation to tell me a little bit about yourself and your goals and to develop a rapport. Then I’ll ask some general questions such as: - Your career history and your education - How soon will you need the resume? - Do you already have a resume that just needs updating or are you starting from scratch? - I would need a good email address so that I can send you some basic information and I will ask you to email me what you already have, if needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did my first resume in 1978 and realized early on that this was a God-given gift. I wasn’t formally trained to do this. It just came naturally. However, over the years I’ve discovered what works and what doesn’t. What I do know is I have a 98% hire rate. Plus, I've worked as an executive assistant to high level management for over 20 years.
