FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listening and understanding customer needs in any art project. Provide step by step guidance catered to the individual through creative processes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Art in Studio Art practices in 2013. As a Teacher's Assistant in printmaking, I enjoyed interacting with students and understanding their aspirations through their art processes. I volunteered at Laguna Honda Hospital for their Art with Elders program assisting the residence for art therapy needs. I've taught painting to adults in groups of 10 to 40 as a Paint-Nite Art Instructor. Currently a part-time event planning assistant for kids parties, I interact with children of all ages through all methods of crafting. Every year I vendor at various community events, collaborate with organizations, and participate in art shows. I provide live art demonstrations to engage the community through art.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Self-motivation and determination to educate the community through art. When I was in grade school, art was my way of expression. When I entered Junior High/Middle School, art courses were no longer given in public grade school. Slowly, my creativity diminished. During college, I decided to take a few art courses. At that moment, I fell back in love with art. Through this timeline, I felt disappointed towards the public school system. Art courses are needed to fulfill children's creativity, whether it be in music, technology, film, etc. Art is alive in each and every one of us. I aspire to help others through creativity.
