FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Since each project is very unique, pricing depends very much on the needs of the client and the demands of the project. Generally, for shooting, I charge a day rate, or half-day rate, at industry standard. For editing, I can either charge for the entire project, or hourly with an estimate beforehand, and industry standard.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before beginning any work, I like to speak to my client to know exactly what they are looking for in their final product. Sometimes a client knows what he or she wants the final product to look and feel like. In that case, I can get to work right away on implementing their vision. Usually, thought, the client prefers some direction. In that case, I like to discuss with the client (over the phone if possible) who their audience is, what the core message is, what the mood should be, and what the budget is; from there, we can collaborate on ideas and how to go about creating the video, or series of pictures.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am completely self-taught; I have always had a passion for filmmaking and photography, and decided to pursue it to the fullest. I cut my teeth on shooting and editing weddings for years; from there, I have branched to shooting and editing music videos, short promos, documentaries, crowd-funding videos, news videos, and short narratives.
