FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This all depends on the service being rendered. SEO/SEM/SMM. The basic process is the same for all clients. I need to understand what are the goals my client is trying to attain and work backwards from there. SMM and SEO revolve around exposure first and foremost. This requires analyzing both the clients websites and profiles and their competitors. A game plan is formulated from that point as to what needs to be done in order to outmaneuver them. This is accomplished via higher rankings, a more aggressive social presence, e.t.c. The end result is an increase in targeted number of sales and leads. -Web Design. When building new sites I use WordPress platform exclusively. Hosting varies between the Big Three: HostGator, GoDaddy, and BlueHost. After figuring out the clients industry and their products/services, I develop a site architecture that best fits their business. I've handled simple e-commerce websites to a nationwide mega-site with over a thousand pages. It's really not as hard as people make it out to be. Once architecture is perfected, it's filled with appropriate content and media. I even handle graphic designs myself for my clients if they don't have any in place. When it comes to a re-design or something in relation to that, its hard to pinpoint a typical process besides analyzing the site, figuring out its issue and solving it. -Graphic Design. Typically, I find out the general idea of the project at hand. To understand the industry and what exactly is the client is trying to achieve. Do they have a sketch? What sizes would this be in? Does this need a background? Other questions are asked when these are answered. Then I go into a test phase with photoshop/illustrator and send my client a first draft. At that point, it's all about revisions until 100% satisfaction is attained. I charge nothing upfront, I let my work speak for itself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Two years of sweat and tears. Learning and testing, learning and testing, and learning some more. I'm constantly working on projects, clients or no clients, in order to stay on top of my field. Google is constantly updating their ranking algorithms and marketing is always fluctuating in it's practices.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important piece of advice I give to everyone regardless if we work together or not, is ensure there is TRUST. Graphic Design, Social Media Marketing, SEO, ESPECIALLY SEO- the industry is flooded with individuals that give the rest of us bad names. Unethical methods, corner-cutting tactics, you name it. Trust has be earned first. This is why I offer every single client a free ranking for SEO if they require it. This is why I don't charge my graphic designs upfront. And this is why I offer a money back guarantee with my web design projects. I am more than confident in my abilities, but I understand hesitation in respect to the work involved in my industries.
