What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In construction, many variables can change the cost of a project. Materials, project deadlines, zoning conditions, all of these play a factor in the cost of any job. Most all successful contractors are competitive within their field, therefore pricing is mainly based on region and project size.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to start by mapping out the goals our new client wants to meet. We cover a range of design, materials, and extensively cover any budget conditions. Getting to know our client's needs and wishes is paramount to both our success and theirs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an extensive background in construction, over 20 years. I have been involved first hand in most every aspect of the building process. As well as many years of experience I have a college background which helps with management responsibilities.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
During high school, I helped a friend's father build log cabins. I found out early on the joy in building and completing projects. I became a carpenter, worked my way through college and then discovered I was already in the profession that was meant for me. I
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have always considered every customer a challenge. Regardless the type of client, the end result is to complete a project which exceeds the expectations of our customer. We have clients that are building their first home, and have very little building experience. As well, we have clients that have built many homes and trust our experienced contractors to follow their lead and complete the project at hand.
