Lisa was a monthly writer for the three publications I managed for seven years and she never let me down. She was a consummate professional with the clients (advertisers) about whom she was writing as well as the local students, teachers and business owners we were featuring. She met deadlines, paid attention to assigned word counts and turned in clean copy with several title suggestions. Additionally, she took the time to follow up with the subjects of our articles to let them know when the issue would be available on-line and how they could share it via social media. In this, and in many other ways, she often went above and beyond for this busy editor! I recommend her without hesitation.

In the short time I've known Lisa she has been a wonderful partner on several important projects. As a presenter at our Writers Conference, she had her eye on our webpage and noticed when our keynote cancelled. Upon learning who the new keynote would be, she expressed enthusiasm and jumped into the entire conference to help make it an outstanding event. Does the thought of writing your own bio for your website or Linkedin make you panic? I know I did. That's why I've hired Lisa. In fact, I've hired Lisa more than once to write my bio. I'm continually amazed at how she's been able to summarize my strengths, talents and personality, by asking some simple questions. She took my answers, and turned them into something that I read and thought "wow, is that really me"? (and she made it FUN to work with her!) What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work best when we communicate both in conversation and in writing, so my typical process is to have a brief phone or in-person conversation, then to follow up with questions that help me better understand your goals and your voice. It's important to me that when I write for a client, I write in that client's voice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a college graduate and I'm currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. My work experience includes retail, customer service, administrative support, staffing, and paralegal work.
