Anthony has helped me through a lot the last few months. He is very professional yet flexible. He has worked around my schedule, my child being in and out of the hospital, and around several life changes. He really has away of looking at things that has been very helpful in my life and makes himself accessible to his clients. We used Puryear Counseling to seek help on how to handle some anger issues my son has been suffering from, and to gain some guidance on how to improve our overall family communication. My son was very reluctant at first to meet with someone, but it made a WORLD of difference having Anthony come into our home. It made it a way more comfortable experience for us all. He helps give us the tools and guidance we need to better our communication with each other. We never felt judged in any way and we leave each session feeling optimistic about how we can better handle stressful situations that may come our way. We will of course continue to seek his help.

Anthony was great in our couples counseling. Very accepting and gave us a great platform to be able to communicate effectively and work on our issues week by week. I want to make sure you get the help you need. I believe no one should go without help just because they cannot afford a high priced counseling session. My goal is to provide cost-effective therapy that works best for both of us.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My goal is to clearly identify the problem, and more importantly what you want the solution to be. From there I identify the areas where things have gotten off track and work on correcting those things.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10 years experience working with individuals and families. I have had a master's degree and been licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy for two years.
