After replacing the kitchen fluorescent lighting ballast and changing out he switch, we still had no lights for the Thanksgiving holidays. At this point we called for some help on the following day and Mr. Electric sent Ryan Diaz and his assistant out and they did a comprehensive review of the wiring in the kitchen lightening system and reviewed the electrical box to make sure everything was ok. After switching everything out and reconnecting the wires they came to the conclusion that the new ballast was not working correctly as everything else had been ruled out at this point. They went out on Black Friday and braved the crowds at Home Depot and bought a new ballast and once this newer new ballast was connected, we had lights again. A final tweaking of the switch by pig- tailing the hot wire correctly put us back in business.
The team from Mr. Electric came out when they said they would, were very courteous and helpful, and reviewed everything involved before jumping in to make sure nothing was overlooked. Ryan also took the time to see if there were other lighting or electrical issues that we wanted or needed without putting any pressure on us to commit to anything.
Finally, although the amount of time estimated for the work to be done went longer than anticipated, they stuck to the original bid and did not increase their prices.
We will certainly call Mr. Electric again and ask for Ryan and his crew to come back for any future issues we may have within the electrical field.
