Samantha did an INCREDIBLE job crocheting in expert fashion. After being turned down by tailors, crocheters, embroiderers and more, Samantha was the only person up for helping me recreate a $1,500 Toteme coat with an old vintage Pendalton coat I had purchased. She went above and beyond researching the photos I sent and selecting the perfect yarn and taking photos of her progress the whole time. She even selected and sewed buttons on as well. I wanted to bring the coat to Europe and she also rushed to get this done so I would have in time. Such an excellent experience couldn't recommend more and can't wait to use her again!

Samantha was super awesome and very kind. She and I kept meeting from time to time while working on my wedding dress, she hemmed it and also removed the lining in the top part of the dress so I could actually move! She also added a lovely bustle and I was just so happy about it all. Very good work and right on time for the wedding. Thank you so much!

Samantha helped me recreate my wedding dress, and she was so incredible to work with. I went into the whole process clueless, as I had never needed to have a dress tailored before. Despite that, she knew exactly how to interpret my thoughts as well as give me ideas on how to improve my wedding dress in the best ways possible. She always got back to me in time and even found a way to finish my dress in such a short period of time. (She's very committed). I can't imagine what I would have done without her! Sammi has seamstress super powers. My dress was covered in intricate lace and beading. I was worried that alterations would be long, difficult, or ugly, but Sammi altered it to fit me perfectly and you can’t even tell it was altered. She gave me exactly what I wanted. I’ve seen her make gorgeous wedding gowns from scratch, modest-ify rental dresses, and accomplish the impossible overnight.

Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies, emphasis in Clothing Design and Construction. Managed bridal store for two years; specialized in bridal alterations for 5 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been sewing for more than 20 years. I started taking sewing lessons from my mom’s best friend and it just took off from there! I altered my own prom dresses, made clothes for myself and then got a degree in college, taking all the sewing and tailoring classes my university offered. I have been trained professionally at a bridal store and continue to love learning and designing and helping everyone who comes my way.
