FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for interior design services is an hourly rate. In addition, when I am able to apply my trade discount, I offer my clients pricing on goods (furnishings, rugs, window treatments) that is less than retail.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet in person to discuss the direction and scope of the project, and I follow up with a proposal that estimates the time associated with each project step. Once we have mutually committed to moving forward with a signed proposal, I manage every detail of the project, including space planning, presentation of options, selection of all goods (paint colors, finishes, furnishings, rugs, window treatments, lighting, art, accessories, etc.) and supervise final specification, ordering, delivery and installation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MA in Architectural Interior Design from the Inchbald School in London, accredited by Glyndwr University-Wales. Leading up to my MA work and in order to stay current with CAD software since completing my degree, I have undertaken substantial coursework through UC-Berkeley Extension. As part of my American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) membership, I take continuing education courses to stay abreast of developments in the architectural interior design industry.
