Introduction: Keithly & Glenn focuses on taking clients' accounting under our wing and owning it. Our clients want to put their companies on "autopilot," and we help them to do that. We function as part-time CFO for several local companies in Kansas City. We also perform aggressive tax planning and prepare complex corporate tax returns. One of the partners, David Glenn, CPA, is an ex IRS auditor, and Scott Keithly, CPA is a veteran of Ernst & Young, a large accounting firm. We enjoy setting up systems to make companies run more efficiently. Also, it gives us great personal satisfaction to help people protect their hard-earned money from the IRS.

I am very happy with the services that were provided by Kansas City tax mediation. I had made some very poor decisions and found myself behind on my federal income tax. Scott was able to negotiate a settlement with the IRS and save me close to $12,000. I was able to get back on my feet and make a fresh start. We hadn't filed tax returns for several years (almost 10 years!). Once our returns were filed, Keithly & Glenn Tax Consulting also filed an offer in compromise with the IRS. It was accepted and we not only saved thousands but no longer have to worry about liens, garnishments, etc. They provide trustworthy (most important to us), fast, reliable, affordable, and confidential services. They are a local company (we support local) and provide personalized services. You won't get lost in the crowd like when dealing with bigger, national companies. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We're definitely not a "lowest bidder." Our full service typically runs between $500-$700 per month. That includes everything: bookkeeping, regular meetings and phone calls, tax planning, tax return preparation. It's less than what you would pay a part-time bookkeeper with higher quality of work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we have an in-depth conversation about their business. We then send a proposal offering different levels of service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Scott Keithly, CPA, has a Master's in Accountancy and a CPA license. He previously worked at Ernst & Young, one of the "Big Four" accounting firms. David Glenn, CPA, has a Master's in Taxation and used to be an IRS auditor.
