Introduction: I am a multi-instrumentalist and music lover of just about every genre. From an early age I have been drawn to the way that music connects people to each other, and I love using music to help my clients celebrate a joyous occasion or create a unique vibe for a party or event. For any event that I emcee, I always aspire to get everyone involved, young and old. I am an excellent communicator leading up to the date of an event, and I will work work closely with event hosts and venues to ensure that every detail is well-coordinated. Whether I am spinning a frenetic wedding dance party or an upscale corporate holiday event, I always strive to give my clients an event that far exceeds their expectations. Helping to spread the joy of music and to share the unique way that it unifies people and makes events particularly memorable is an amazing and beautiful privilege.

Justin (DJ Harv) is a DJ superhero. We hired him ONE WEEK before our wedding as an alternate for our original DJ, who sadly had a family emergency and had to pull out at the last minute. He had recommended Justin to work in his place, and I am so very glad he did. I cannot recommend Justin highly enough. In our week of correspondence before the wedding, Justin worked with the utmost professionalism and responsiveness to help pull together the playlist for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing music. On the day of the wedding, he was prompt, prepared, and enthusiastic. The music he selected set a beautiful atmosphere for our whole day. Here are a few highlights from working with him: 1. Justin seems to have an innate sense of playlist-building based on a single suggestion. I sent Justin a description of our musical stylistic preferences (a mix of acoustic/chill bluegrassy songs and some jazzy/soul classics for dinner, and mostly 80s/90s pop for dancing) and a list of must-play and do-not-play songs. From that, he created a perfect mix of dinner and dance music, which generated lots of compliments from my friends and family. 2. Justin not only understands the structure and flow of weddings, but he was also flexible and enthusiastic about our more nontraditional choices. Since he has worked at so many weddings, he has a good idea of how people will behave and respond to different cues or instructions. We are not huge dancers, so instead of a solo first dance, we got everyone up on the dance floor to get the party started. It was a hit, and Justin was more than happy to help us make our "first dance" a success. 3. The man can keep a party going. He seamlessly transitioned from our first dance into music that kept people on the dance floor. If the dance floor ever thinned out because people didn't feel like dancing to a particular song (as happens at every party), Justin responded quickly with a change that brought people right back into the fun. This happened to hilarious effect with N*Sync's Bye Bye Bye, and the crowd loved it. In conclusion, engaged couples of the Philly area: please strongly consider hiring Justin (DJ Harv) for your wedding! He did an outstanding job for us at a very fair price.

Justin was the DJ for my sister's wedding a few weeks ago. As the MOH I communicated with him quite a bit about day of details since there was no wedding coordinator. Justin was professional and enthusiastic in his communication and as he went about his responsibilities for the night. He helped things run along the pre-set schedule but was also flexible if we weren't quite ready for the next bit of the night. His music selection was great - lots of great stuff to dance to - and after things slowed down for a few dances we kicked things back into high gear by playing limbo with a pair of suspenders! It was a crowd favorite and got everybody back out on the dance floor :) Looking forward to partying again with DJ Harv at another friend's wedding in a few months!

This guy rocked the party at my friend's wedding reception. A solid mix of upbeat and slow at appropriate times got pretty much everyone on the floor at one point or another. One of the best dance parties of my life!
