Lawren was referred to me by a friend. My case had many options associated with it. Lawren took the time to fully explain my options and direct me to the best course of action for my family. If a question came up and Lawren did not have an immediate answer,. he would do some research and promptly discuss his findings with me. Lawren is great to work with and has a knack and the patience for explaining complicated legal issues in a way a layman can understand.

I have known Lawren Nelson for 27 years. Much of that time has been spent on a personal level but I have also had the pleasure of utlizing Lawren's legal expertise from time to time. During those 27 years, I have come to know a common thread that connects Lawren's personal life to his business life. That connective tissue is that Lawren simply cares about the people that are in his life. In the fast paced "electronic era" that we now live in, Lawren continues to have an "old school" mentality. He is thorough and very organized and if you show Lawren that you respect him take him seriously, he will always respect you and take you seriously. It does not matter how much money a potential client earns or how much money your potential case may possibly earn, he simply cares about the welfare of the people that represents. I'm proud to call him my dear friend.

Couldn't have been better. I was informed of the whole process and felt more involved than simply waiting around waiting for the outcome.

I have known Lawren Nelson for about 20 years. In that time, I have retained him and been advised by him on many legal matters. He has helped me with: auto injuries, property claims, contracts, collection of debts, power of attorney, personal family matters, and even as a contact to others. My ex-wife and my own mother have also had successful legal cases with him. Lawren won't lose, or will get a better-than-average settlement. He knows the law, comfortable in Court, professional and respectful of his clients. As a litigator, he is an aggressive and will fight the small details as much as the large issues. I have noticed his law firm partners and staff are just as serious about what they do and dedicated to their clients. Lawren is someone you want on your side of the case. Lawren's personality invites you to know him personally as well. I can say that he is easy to talk to, fair minded, and friendly out of the office as he is professionally. Our mutual friends would agree with me that what you see is what you get with Lawren. I don't know anyone that has a conflict with him. When I speak with him, I always feel I was heard and my ideas were as much included in the advice as the law. Lawren is a tough attorney, but with his clients and friends, is not only about money. I am proud to call him my friend, and happy to call on him for advice or representation. Dr. Larry T. (Philadelphia)

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of our cases are handled on a contingency basis. If we obtain a recovery for our client we obtain a percentage of the recovery. Depending on the type of claim our legal fees range from 20% to 45%. If there is no recovery there is NO fee. In personal injury cases we put up the costs for all expenses and if there is no recovery the client owes nothing. In private and group long term disability cases the client has the choice of the law firm advancing all legal expenses at a standard fee or we offer reduced attorney fees if our client wishes to advance the monies required to litigate the claim.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have offices in Philadelphia and Wilmington. For clients that don't have time to come to the office our attorneys or investigator will schedule a mutually convenient date and time and we will come to you. We will collect all of the documents that relate to your injury or private disability claim and notify all parties that we have been retained as your legal representatives. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for our clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our attorneys have Juris Doctorate degrees from acredited law schools and hold licenses to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware. Our attorneys have vast litigation experience in handling the following types of cases: - car, truck and motorcycle accidents; - premises liability (slip / trip and fall accidents); - nursing home abuse and negligence cases; - medical negligence / malpractices cases against doctors and hospitals; - dog bite claims; - electrocution accidents; - wrongful death claims; - private and group / ERISA long term disability claims; - bar / nightclub negligent security cases; - construction site accident claims; and many other types of claims that involve injury or death.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather was a juvenile criminal judge and a town watch leader in Trenton, New Jersey. My grandfather was not an attorney but he always dreamed that I would become an attorney one day. From the time I was a child I was facinated by the practice of law. My stepfather is one of my partners and he has been practicing law in Pennsylvania for almost 50 years. I guess I was predestined to become a lawyer when my parents named me Lawren.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Clients from across the country have used our services for personal injury and private and group/ERISA claims. Our clients are seriously injured individuals who turn to our firm for help in receiving the compensation they deserve for their injuries and payments for their medical bills and wage losses. We also help family members who have lost loved ones as the result of wrongful death.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for an injury attorney clients should interview the lawyer they are contemplating retaining to help them with their injury claim. Personal injury claims sometimes involve years of litigation and therefore it's important to make sure you retain your attorney wisely. Don't just look at the attorney's bio or accomplishments but make sure you get along on a personal level and you are comfortable working with your attorney.
