FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wish it was easy setting up a pricing system for event planning, caterings, wedding coordination, and ceremony services. I will work within most client's budgets, but sometimes the budget just needs to meet the client's needs. It always works-out in the end and we are told that our services always pay for themselves. We can even help you save money by working with you to select, get more quotes, and negotiate with your vendors.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by listening to everything they say and every idea they have. Then we look at their budget and build a "wants" vs "needs" list. We make sure we have all the "needs" taken care of, then we start working on the "wants". Sometimes a want becomes a need, so we are always open to reworking the plan. I always want them to understand that this is their event, not mine. It just seems to work every time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working in catering when I was in college and have my bachelors in International Business Management with a minor in Project Management. I am also a long-time member of ISES (International Society of Event Specialists) and have taught classes on event planning internationally.
