Garden consultation and recommendations: $75-150 - 30-60 minute site visit to observe current landscape and discuss landscaping needs - Develop site recommendations and a plant list based on your site/interests Garden design: Cost site specific - Develop a plant list upon consultation with client - Includes a sketch of the landscape - Budget includes design, labor, transportation, materials, and management plan Garden Installation/Maintenance: $30-50/ hour + Transportation - Prepare garden beds for planting - Plant shrubs, perennials, and small trees - Edge, weed and mulch beds Garden Workshops: $150-$350 - Presentation and hands-on activities included - Materials not included
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Setup a conversation with client to discuss needs and figure out if we are the right match. 2. Suggest an on-site garden consultation to develop a planting plan, plan of work, and budget. 3. Coordinate installation dates with client. 4. Install. 5. Share step-by-step maintenance plan with clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Upward Ground LLC Founder, Daniel Feeser, has worked in Philly and the NYC community landscape sector for over seven years. Daniel gained a formal horticultural education in Longwood Garden's Professional Gardener Program. He has worked as Cornell Cooperative Extension's Environmental Horticulture Community Educator developing gardening programs for children and adults. He has led urban horticultural programming for Central Park Conservancy's Institute for Urban Parks. He currently is the Horticulture Coordinator at Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, where he designs and installs native gardens across the city.
