Introduction: I have been performing music since I was 12, and have been teaching since 1998. I have a style of teaching that is based on the way the student learns, as well as the personal goals and desires of my student. I have learned over 30 instruments and have taught about 15, but am currently focusing on Guitar, Bass, Piano, and Music Theory students.
I love watching people get inspired and become successful learning new songs as well as new techniques. My favorite part is getting to know my students personally as friends, watching them grow and seeing how music can bring happiness and stress relief from daily life.

Both of my sons took piano lessons from Nick when they were kids. They've since grown and moved away, but when they come home to visit, my wife and I are always happily entertained by the beautiful duets they perform for us in the living room, the same room where years earlier they had those piano lessons with Nick. My oldest takes the role of pianist while the the younger plays his cello, which he took up in middle school. They are so good at it it's like going downtown to hear the Phoenix Symphony play (in fact, my youngest does play in a symphony and has toured as far away as Vietnam). Their musical ability and knowledge were inspired from the beginning by the lessons they had from Nick when they started out on their musical journey and we are so grateful for what he taught them and the influence he had on them. I myself took guitar lessons from Nick and really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I would have done much better if I didn't have to work all the time (my excuse for myself). But when I retire here in a few years, I'll need to pick it up again, and who better to turn to than the master himself.

Nick taught me how to play guitar throughout my years in high school, and I could not have asked for a better teacher. Nick was always encouraging, fun to talk to and be around, and able to teach subject matter from a variety of angles and approaches. He adapts to different learning styles and always pushed me forward. Would highly recommend.

Nick was my guitar and piano teacher for a very long time growing up and he constantly inspired me to do my best in life and through my music. He is a wonderful teacher that was very understanding and helpful throughout each lesson. He is very passionate about his music and he is someone that I am very grateful to have had as a teacher! Throughout each lesson he challenged, supported, and helped me develop my own style. Learning from Nick was always a great experience and I recommend his teaching to anyone interested in learning a musical instrument!
