- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I rely on a very structured and quantified approach, wherein I break down each task (planting a new flower bed, for example) and estimate, in hours, what each step is to complete (soil amendment, tilling, planting, mulching, materials). All of these pieces added together allow me arrive at a very detailed and accurate estimate. I then sketch out designs of your vision to provide you a visual mockup, before I start work. It allows us a chance to see the end result, and make changes early and easily. Often times, things take longer than expected; but I absorb this and won't ever pass that cost along to a customer. These detailed estimates and labor guarantee are provided to you in my formal quotes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to see photos if possible, but it's most optimal to schedule time for me to see your property and discuss your vision. During this time I gather information and photographs to take away and construct a formal estimate. I hand deliver my estimates and bring my designs so we can ensure that I'm creating exactly what you want.
