FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project, especially residential remodels and additions, must be figured for cost individually. They have their own identity unlike the next. New construction projects can be assigned a cost per sq. ft. as a budgeting tool, but the final cost exact cost will come when architecture is complete. That is why it is essential to design from a budget and keep that in mind through the entire design process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we arrange a time to meet that is convenient for my clients. We strive to listen very well to our clients so that we will have a precise picture of the project. We take a close look at the property and structure where the project will take place, so that we see exactly how the structure will seamlessly come together. We look at the existing finishes so that they can be matched if that is the case. We walk our clients through the process and let them know what to expect from design, permitting, construction and final. We design and build from a budget, find a budget and try very hard to stay within that budget, while still rendering a finished product that will make our clients happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in construction for 38 years as a laborer to start, a worker in all phases of building from foundation/concrete, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, siding, finish carpentry, granite/stone, stucco etc. I have performed until a professional at all scopes of work. I became a working foreman, superintendent, general superintendent, project manager and, now, I am finally an owner of my own company. I am fluid in architecture and engineering as well.
