This amazing editor solidly interpreted my intentions and desires for my writing. She knew my subject matter and my audience, and was able to ask me the right questions...questions that opened my mind and heart to greater clarity and purpose. She's the best editor I've ever worked with, in a twenty year career with about twenty publication credits.Oct 11, 2017
I’ve worked on fiction writing with Jennifer Whitten for many years and with her input have gone from a complete beginner to a published writer. Jennifer’s an intelligent, incredibly creative person with the uncanny ability to home in on the areas of a piece that would benefit from further work, whether the problem is with language, plot structure, character inconsistency, or a theme that can be deepened, and she is able to do so in a manner that’s always encouraging and inspiring. I’ve never left a session with Jennifer without several new insights and ideas, some of which have been dazzling. I highly recommend her. Sincerely, Wayne BachnerApr 23, 2017
I've worked for Jennifer, who was the Writing Studio Director at my college, and she also has helped me with my writing on a professional level. Jennifer is excellent at relaying how each person can maximize learning. She is very clear, but also very friendly with her guidance. When working with college students, Jennifer is able to help them break assignments down into easily digestible tasks and suggest edits (some that are significant and some that are minor) with ease and confidence. She tends to use a guiding method of asking questions and allowing you to find the answer. She is astute when it comes to ascertaining whether or not a student already knows an answer. If they do know it and just can't "see" it - she helps lead them to it. If they don't, she helps them find ways to research and remedy that issue, which build their confidence as a writer and a person. Overall, Jennifer is an incredibly passionate and positive professional. I highly recommend her for any sort of writing, editing or mentoring opportunity.Oct 21, 2017
If you need help creating or updating a resume or writing cover letters, I’d recommend Roots and Wings. I’m a practiced writer, but when it comes to marketing myself via resume, I can have a few blind spots. This service helped me put my best foot forward while I searched for a new position in a new field of employment, and ultimately I was successful in securing a job I was targeting in the nonprofit sector. Jennifer of Roots and Wings helped me identify relevant skills I hadn’t thought of, word them in a way that presented me as a more viable candidate, and organize them so they were easy for a potential employer to see. Additionally: the conferencing part of this resume-writing process sets this service apart from others. Above all, I would describe Jennifer as insightful and sensitive to her client’s needs.Oct 11, 2017

Ongoing projects have hourly rates. Because every project is different, I will discuss your needs with you to ascertain the time your project is likely to take, which will then determine the pricing for that project.
