- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee for my service is $80 per hour. This includes design conception, furniture selection and layout, paint and wallpaper selection and lighting selection. In order to protect both the customer and myself, I will need to charge $50 for any consultation prior to getting hired. I offer clients a 25% discount on all furniture, lighting and artwork pieces. I also offer a 15% discount on all accessories.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make appointments to meet my clients at their homes and look at the spaces which will be designed. We talk things over so I get an understanding of what my clients' needs and concerns are. It would be helpful if the client shows me different magazine photos of what they want me to achieve. I then go to my office and start emailing ideas (furniture, lighting, etc.). After my clients decide on what they like or don't like, we can go to different showrooms in New York City or New Jersey to see some of the items and have them get a better feel of what the outcome will look like.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with an architectural company that had an interior design studio for over 7 years.
