FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I pride myself on accuracy and honesty so I'd need to take a look at the property before providing an accurate estimate online. I typically charge $65 per hour plus materials or supplies needed, with full disclosure. I've found this to be the best experience for you because you'll know right away that you're receiving straight forward pricing on repairs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we like to set a time for me to stop by to take a look at the work that you're needing done. This way we can give you an accurate estimate for the entire project or repair. When we agree to the terms a contract is written up and signed by both you (customer) and me (owner). This way there is no surprises or hidden cost at the end of the project because it's all in black and white. When doing small projects things do come up that were not foreseen and have to be addressed before going any further with the project. If and when this happens, we will fully discuss the issue, figure out a solution, produce a change order and move on without delaying the production of the project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first started back in high school, many years ago, working with a carpenter/custom cabinet builder building installing trim and custom cabinets for high end homes back in my home town in upstate New York. I found a lot of satisfaction with the before and after affect it had on the client when we finished a job. There's nothing better than putting a smile on the customers face at the end of a project.
