- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee starts at $120 and I use a sliding scale to help even make that affordable cost more affordable for individuals, couples, or families. I also lead 15 skilled MFT Interns and MFT Trainees who can see you for even more affordable costs if needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First session is spent getting to know what your bringing into therapy and developing goals you'd like to accomplish toward healing. With a couple the next two sessions are typically where I meet each partner individually followed by coming back together to work mostly in sessions with the couple together unless additional individual work would be warranted. With couples or families I do offer a prorated 75 minute session (from typical 45 minutes) if that is helpful to provide more time to process therapeutic work with more people present.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Psychology from UC Davis and a MS in Counseling from University of Phoenix. I have been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and EMDR for people struggling with trauma.
