FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the job. I love shooting and want to do as many jobs as possible so I tend to keep my prices on the lower end, especially if it's local. Traveling is something I love so any excuse to do an adventure abroad deserves inquiry.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to connect with my clients before the scheduled shoot to hear about what they what as a final product and assure them that I will be there promptly and do the best job for them. I'll arrive early so that they can feel at ease, and again, connect on what they are looking for. We shoot. This is very organic and easy and unfolds comfortably. My goal is to get the best shots in camera on site, so little post editing is needed. This results in fast turn over time and, humbly in my opinion, better images. Digital downloads are always the quickest and easiest but I'm happy to work with my clients to their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mom gave me my first yellow point and shoot camera with a dozen rolls of film, yes film, digital wasn't around back then, for Christmas when I was 10 years old. I quickly snapped through all those rolls, subsequently irritating all my siblings with my new fascination. My family subscribed to National Geographic and I knew that was what I wanted to do. Those images always moved me to somewhere into something deeper in myself. I studied photography, graphic design, art history and studio art in college earning a bachelors in photography at CSUS. In college, I worked as a server, and occasionally a photographer, for many many weddings, so I've got that flow down and love a good party! Since, I've been traveling the world exploring and shooting and have done many yoga trainings as well. The yoga and photography blend well together with my style; natural, graceful, and beautiful.
