FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have had a few different types of construction jobs in my life, leading to me learning the basics in many fields..and at one point when getting a quote for some repair, I decided I was tired of me and my friends paying ridiculous rates to have things fixed that I was sure I could do. And now I want to use that same concept, to bring savings to you.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with every type you can imagine for all types of jobs. From the Company CEO, to the single mother with her teenage daughter. People are just people, and the one thing I've come to understand is, sometimes everyone needs a little help, and they don't want to feel like they're being ripped off for it.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did a small fence enclosure around a ground mounted AC unit at a dog retraining facility. It seemed like it should have been a simple thing, but part of the reason I'm fond of it was it was one problem after another. They wanted steel posts for their new wooden fence. No big deal, except this was my first one like it.. So with the concrete pad having a slight downgrade to the yard, I had to connect to the house and then set 3 posts. The fence is only a tad over 3' high, so I had to cut all my Fence boards down. Wet boards is not the way to discover you need a new battery for your cordless circular saw... In short, the job took me 2 afternoons, I had to bring all the lumber home to cut on my chop saw, and setting the posts was... interesting due to the difference in hardware for mounting the boards. But it came out PERFECT. Level and even all the way around. Gate working perfect. And most important client, who has used me for 3 different jobs in just as many weeks, was very happy.. I'm fond of this particular project because, despite all the problems, I managed to finish it in a timely manner, the client was happy, and I learned new things for next time.
